Dear Germaine, dear Nicole, dear Dino,
I am sending you my deepest condolences for the loss of your husband and father.
John and your family welcomed me in your house when I visited the US. I was young and far from home and your family made everything friendly and memorable.
I recall very well the smile and the kindness of John.
I shall never forget that you gave me the opportunity to visit your country and more importantly the school of Nicole and how young americans were evolving in their teenage years.
I recall the unity and strength of your family which was at John's image and probably his main treasure.
I am so sorry to hear that he left. You have my deepest sympathy, and I wish you courage to overcome the pain.
With love, your friend,
Zorica

My deepest sympathy goes out to all in the Gavin family. Uncle John will be sorely missed by all. I have warm memories growing up and Uncle Johns humor he could find in anything. His positive attitude in life steered me to joining the BPD. As long as your fellow brothers wear this uniform and badge your legacy will never be forgotten. Rest well my brother, I salute you.
