Julia Olivia Sammons Markling passed away peacefully on January 26, 2024 at her home in Hunt Valley, Maryland. Born on August 30, 1921 in Toronto, Canada, Julia had an exciting career as a Radio City Music Hall Rockette and then as a Manager for Saks Fifth Avenue in Garden City, New York.
Julia’s greatest joy was her family and spending hours together traveling, laughing and sharing stories. For 102 years, she made this world better by being Wife, Mom, Aunt, Grandma, and GiGi.
Julia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George A. Markling; her dear brother Richard Sammons; and precious grandson, Michael G. Markling.
Julia is survived by her children: George S. Markling and wife Linda D. Markling; Linda M. Marston and husband Glenn L. Marston; Daughter-in-Love Holly L. Dietor and husband Michael R. Frock.
Her grandchildren: Stephen G. Markling; James G. Markling; Sean T. Marston and fiancé Jody Knight; Laura M. Gonzalez and husband Eric J. Gonzalez.

And all the family stretched across the Netherlands and Canada.
