Kevin Michael Fogarty, Sr., of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on May 17, 2026, at the age of 63. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, colleague, community servant, and loyal friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Kevin was the devoted husband of Jane Teano Fogarty and the proud father of Kevin M. Fogarty, Jr. and Patrick J. Fogarty. He was a loving father-in-law to Paige LaPorta Fogarty and Shannon Hayden Fogarty. He was the cherished son of Thomas J. Fogarty, Sr. and Mary T. Fogarty, and a dear brother to Patricia Kuuskvere, Thomas Fogarty, Jr., Maureen Ramirez, and Kathleen Nealon. Kevin was also a treasured uncle to sixteen nieces and nephews and three great-nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Towson State University, Kevin earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and went on to build a respected career in finance and operations. For nearly eighteen years, he served The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as Senior Director of Finance Operations, where he was known for his dedication, steady leadership, and deep commitment to the people and mission around him.
Kevin’s life was marked not only by professional accomplishment, but by service. He held an active role as advisory board member to the Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Martin’s Home. Kevin was also on the Board of Directors for the O’Dwyer Retreat House in Sparks, MD, and a working member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, St. Brendan Division-3. Throughout the years, Kevin gave generously of his time and talents to numerous community efforts, from many projects that helped improve the lives of others and the spaces around him, including the Little Sisters of the Poor St. Martin’s Home sister’s cemetery project for renewal and restoration.
While raising their family in Bel Air, Kevin and Jane built a life rooted in faith, hard work, humor, generosity, and love. Kevin had a gift for making people feel welcome. He was dependable, sharp-witted, practical, and kind. He could teach you something, make you laugh, lend a hand, and always left things better than he found them. Kevin loved spending holidays and weekends at the Delaware shore with his family, enjoying a Guinness below the vibrant sunsets on the beach.
Above all, Kevin loved his family. He took great pride in his sons, welcomed his daughters-in-law with love, and cherished the extended family and friendships that surrounded him. His presence was steady, his humor unforgettable, and his impact lasting. Kevin will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, colleagues, and all whose lives he touched.
His legacy lives on in the family he adored, the communities he served, and the countless people who were better for having known him.
