

Lesley was born to Harold Hobel and raised in Bronx, NY. She raised her children in Northern Virginia and Cockeysville, Maryland. Lesley was predeceased by her beloved husband, Stanley Dederer, with whom she shared what felt like a lifetime of love and laughter. The two met and married in 1982 and built a beautiful life together.
Lesley worked as an administrator for the United States Postal Service in Washington, D.C., and later as a librarian at the Baltimore Public Library, Cockeysville branch. She will be remembered for her kindness, wicked sense of humor, and the warmth she shared with everyone around her.
Her passions included spending time at the beaches of Ocean City, Maryland with her family, reading countless books, baking remarkable cakes, knitting, crocheting, and creating beautiful needlepoint projects for everyone in the extended family.
Lesley is survived by her six children: Sherry Perley (Ed Lansat), Robert Perley (the late Kathryn Perley), Craig Perley (Suzanne Perley), Susan Dederer-Ames, Mark Dederer and Kris Matarazzo; eight grandchildren Jeremy, Cierra, Laura, Myelle, Michael, Melissa, Emily, and Carmen; three great-grandchildren Grayson, Stella and Lion; her brothers, Robert Hobel (Donna Hobel), Ronald Hobel (the late Carol Hobel) and her sister, Marilyn Messner.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley in Timonium, Maryland on Thursday Nov 13th from 10am-12pm and directly after will be her burial at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium.
Lesley will be dearly missed and forever loved by her family and friends.
