Linda Ann Santos

Born in New York to a proud Italian family and mixed European descent, she carried her heritage with her throughout her life. The kitchen was the heart of her home, and there was rarely a day when something delicious wasn't cooking. Her homemade lasagna became legendary among family and friends, and feeding others was more than a talent, it was her love language. No one ever left her table hungry or without feeling deeply loved.

She was an avid reader who could often be found with a good book in hand, always eager to learn something new or become lost in a favorite story. She cherished the excitement and energy of New York City, the place that helped shape her, while also finding peace and happiness in the sunshine of Fort Myers, Florida, where many treasured memories were made.

Known affectionately as the ultimate hostess, she had a gift for making every gathering feel special. Whether it was a holiday, birthday, family dinner, or simply an ordinary Tuesday, she found joy in decorating her home and creating beautiful spaces where everyone felt welcome. Her warmth, generosity, and attention to every detail made every celebration unforgettable.

Above all else, her greatest pride was her family. She was a devoted wife who shared a lifetime of love with her beloved husband, and a proud mother and grandmother whose grandchildren brought endless happiness to her life. Nothing made her smile more than having her family together, laughing around the dinner table, making memories that will be cherished forever.

Her legacy will live on through the traditions she created the meals she lovingly prepared, the stories she shared, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that every family gathering, every pan of lasagna, every beautifully decorated holiday, and every act of kindness will carry a piece of her spirit.

Linda is the beloved wife for 55 years to Danilo Victoria Santos; devoted mother of Marissa Lynn Rutzebeck and her husband Christopher, Daniel Victor Santos and his wife Susan, Cristina Marie Santos and Teresa Ann Santos and her wife Rebecca; cherished Nonna of Joshua, Fiona, Emma, Ellie, Jack, Molly, Dylan, Penelope and Hudson; dear sister of Ramona Campbell and the late Mildred Cofer, Willard Powell, Robert Powell, Ralph Powell, Delores Powell, Mary Manning, and Carol McVay.

Linda is also survived by her lifelong best friend Rose Garin, along with other loving family and friends.

Eternal rest grant unto her, and may her love continue to fill the hearts and homes of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

The family will receive friends at the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc., 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road), Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Sunday, July 19, 2026 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 20, 2026, 10:00 am in St. Joseph Parish Cockeysville, 100 Church Lane, Cockeysville, Maryland 21030.
