

Lucia Giovina DiCamillo Hudgins was born on Dec. 28, 1931, to Giustino and Maria DiCamillo, shortly after they arrived from Chieti Villamagna Italy. Raised in Washington DC, after graduating from McKinley Tech High School, she married her McKinley Tech classmate, Edward L. Hudgins, and worked for the Department of the Navy. After the arrival of her first of 6 children, she left the work place to be a full time domestic engineer. After 20 years, she reentered the work place and performed clerical duties at Tacoma Transfer, The Maryland State Parole Board, and the US Parole Board. She was the most loving, caring, wife & mother. She loved family, birds, gardening, and most of all, she loved Jesus, and often spoke of how she overcame difficult times through her strong faith.
Lucia passed away on May 28, 2023; She is the beloved wife of Edward L. Hudgins, Jr.; devoted mother of Edward L. Hudgins, III (Talia), William A. Hudgins, Sr. (Lynn), M. David Hudgins (Michelle), John M. Hudgins (Kim), and the late Thomas E. Hudgins and Joan M. Hudgins; dear sister of the late Angela DiCamillo, Anthony DiCamillo, Rose Longo, and Vincent DiCamillo; loving grandmother of Jennifer L., and William A. Hudgins, Jr., Robb Stevens, Jessica Clark, Samantha Bohlman, Emmeline Williamson, Devin, Allegra, and Sophia Hudgins; great-grandmother of William, III, Isabella, Cole, Rori, and Nevan Hudgins, William and Hailey Clark, Blair and Corie Bohlman, Everett Williamson, and the late Margaret Samantha Bohlman.
A memorial service will be celebrated at the Maryland Masonic Homes, 300 International Circle, Cockeysville, MD 21030 on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 11am.
