To our great sorrow, Ludmila Grodnik passed away peacefully on 18th December at her home in Pikesville. She is at peace now with her parents and husband Valentin, who preceded her in death years ago. Ludmila is survived by her daughter, Alla Ohliger and her son-in-law Ken Ohliger. Surviving also are her two grandsons Simon Flom and Kenneth Ohliger, and 4 adoring great-grandchildren Allyna, Naomi, Weston and Brody.
Ludmila was born in Belarus, survived World War II and had lived a difficult life in the former Soviet Union. In 1979, Ludmila came to the United States. She loved children and spent most of her life working at children's daycare centers taking care of little ones. Ludmila loved her family and America. She enjoyed living at Weinberg Terrace and after retirement attending the Phoenix Adult Medical center in Pikesville. Ludmila had an amazing positive disposition towards life. She was the life of the party, and always had a smile on her face.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A private family commemoration is planned.
