At the moment of his death, Mark was healed of his earthly pain, and became more alive than ever, absent from the body but present with his Lord and Savior.
Mark proceeds into glory, his beloved wife, Rebekah Brown Olson; his faithful and loving family, parents Edwin and Connie Olson, brother Derek Olson and his wife Kristi, sister Karin Tanner and her husband Matt, father- and mother-in-law Paul and Jackie Brown, sister-in-law Sarah Stevens and her husband Dave; and Mark’s cherished nieces and nephew, Josette and Sasha Olson, Joe and Emma Tanner, and Sutton Stevens.
Friends are welcome to join the family on Saturday, December 6, 2025 to worship the Lord and celebrate the Gospel, the thing that most defined Mark’s life. Service will be at 9am at Roland Run Presbyterian Church (2200 W. Joppa Rd, Timonium, Maryland 21093). Interment will be private prior to the service.
An avid reader, sports fan, and devoted friend, Mark touched many lives. He was a dedicated student of Scripture and preached frequently to the body of Christ. But what most defined Mark was his love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He served for many years in youth ministry at Timonium Presbyterian Church, as an Elder at City Church (now Roland Run Presbyterian Church), and as a Founding Board Member of Baltimore Classical Academy.
