She is also survived by her longtime partner, Arthur Sorensen, with whom she shared many cherished years and memories.
She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Lisa Douglas, her sister, Patricia Landon, and her grandson, Aaron Shinsky.
Mary dedicated much of her working life to RCA and Verizon Wireless before retiring in 2009. Beyond her career, she was deeply committed to her community and generously gave her time by volunteering at her local senior center and church. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Cockeysville, Maryland.
In her quieter moments, Mary found joy in the simple things she loved most—spending time with her family, cross-stitching, and getting lost in a good book. Her warmth, generosity, and love for those around her will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mary leaves behind a family who will carry her memory in their hearts and cherish the many years, memories, and moments they shared with her. Her love, kindness, and presence will live on through the family and friends who were fortunate enough to know her.
