Moira A. Frost (nee Keane), age 90, passed peacefully on June 2nd, 2019, in Charlottesville, Virginia, with her family at her bedside. Born and raised in Oakland, California, she was the daughter of Thomas and Nora Keane, and sibling to Sister Sheila (Rosaleen) Keane (surviving), Thomas Keane, and Joan (Keane) Crotty. She studied at the College of the Holy Names in Oakland, California, and the University of Hawaii, Manoa Valley, majoring in English. She was a volunteer educator in English Literature and The Great Books, and was involved in the community at various levels throughout her life, including as a Member of the Board of the Falls Road Community Association in Baltimore. She was the loving and devoted wife to John K. Frost, M.D. (Founder and Professor of Cytopathology at Johns Hopkins University and Hospital) for 41 years, until his passing in 1990. They spent most of their married years building a life together in the Baltimore, Maryland area, where they relocated in 1956 from California. Through his work as a renowned Physician and Educator, they traveled the world extensively. Mrs. Frost moved to the Charlottesville, Virginia area in 1996, to be closer to family. The loving couple raised and are survived by seven children: Moira (Frost) Tamburello (Anthony) of Warrington, PA, Rosanne Frost, M.D. of Oakwood, GA, Noreen Frost (Michael) of Lutherville, MD, Therese (Frost) Kohler (Jeffery) of Phoenix, AZ, John K. Frost, Jr. of Moravian Falls, NC, Sheila Frost Davis (Jeffrey), M.D. of Charlottesville, VA, and James K. Frost, M.D. (Nicole) of Hardeeville, SC. Mrs. Frost is survived by ten grandchildren, ranging from ages one to forty-four, and ten great-grandchildren. Her progeny were a source of great joy, love, and pride, and remained an integral part of her life up to the end. She was a woman of great kindness, intelligence, wit, and generosity. She will be remembered and loved by all who knew her, as will the legacy she leaves behind. Most importantly, she is re-united with her one and only love, her husband Jack, in the presence of our Lord and Savior.
