Nancy Mary Cowherd

She was the beloved wife of W. Kevin Cowherd; the loving mother of Sean Michael Cowherd, Christine Marie Brown and James Kevin Cowherd; devoted grandmother of Madeline Chloe Cowherd, Jack Connor Cowherd, Llewyn Wilde Brown and Lily Lee Cowherd; cherished mother-in-law of Karlye Loren Cowherd, Eric Samuel Brown and Hannah Lee Cowherd.

Nancy was someone who radiated kindness in everything she did. She was fiercely devoted to her family and always the first to offer help and advice in time of need. She was a calming presence in even the most tumultuous times, especially when her husband of 47 years appeared overwhelmed raising three young and active children in a busy household.

She was an avid gardener and loved tending to the many plants and flowers in her wonderfully-maintained backyard. She was a terrific cook who constantly searched out new and interesting recipes to try. But perhaps what she enjoyed most was getting down on the floor and playing, laughing and singing with her young grandkids when they visited.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of her life will take place at the Nature Pavillion at St. Paul’s School, 11152 Falls Road, Timonium, MD 21093 on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 12 noon.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
