Richard Albert Uhler

On Sunday, April 21, 2024, Richard Albert Uhler went home to be with the Lord. He was the beloved husband of Marlene Yingling Uhler for 63 years; loving father of Elizabeth Ann Connors (Thomas), Erik Uhler (Terri), Jennifer D. Knotts and was predeceased by his infant son Michael Keith Uhler; treasured “Gacky” of Thomas (Stephanie), Kelsey (Jeff), Kayleigh (Peter), Tyler, Luke, Casey, Robert (Heather), Jason, Ashley (David), Jessica (Todd), Grace (Josh), and Kyle; great “Gacky” of Alexis, Raelynn, Dean, Leo, Sterling, and Persephone; dear brother of Douglas W. Uhler (Joanna), Jeanne Binetti (Elvio) and the late Robert E. Uhler and his living wife Kay; also survived by many other loving family and friends.

Dick was a proud educator, avid golfer and enjoyed life through the lens of a camera. When he wasn’t teaching or spending time with his family, he devoted his life to serving his church, Ashland Presbyterian, as a Deacon and in the choir. Over Dick’s life he served not only the Lord but his community by volunteering for organizations including Habitat for Humanity, UCAN and many others. He attended not one but two mission trips to Cuba with his church and was very proud to be a part of that ministry. He was a member of the Parkton Rotary International Club and was very passionate about politics. He will be dearly and deeply missed by not only his family but all the lives he has touched over his life as an educator.

A visitation for Dick will be held Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley Inc., 10 West Padonia Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093. A Celebration of Dick’s Life will take place on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Ashland Presbyterian Church, 116 Ashland Road, Hunt Valley, MD 21030, starting at 10 AM.

Interment to follow at Ashland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers charitable contributions may be made to Ashland Presbyterian Church, 116 Ashland Road, Hunt Valley, MD 21030, in Dick’s honor.
