March 8, 1936 – October 21, 2026
Samuel Earl Davidson, 90, passed away on October 21, 2026. Born on March 8, 1936, in Fayette, Pennsylvania, Samuel later made his home in Jarrettsville, Maryland.
Samuel was a skilled carpenter who advanced to become a superintendent. Throughout his career, he took great pride in his craftsmanship, his work, and the projects he helped bring to life. He worked for Henry A. Knott Construction and later retired from Whiting-Turner, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and craftsmanship, which included the very popular National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland, which he spoke of often.
Samuel was an exceptionally intelligent man with a quick wit and a wonderfully dry sense of humor. A private person by nature, he was someone who appreciated the quieter things in life. He enjoyed keeping up with the news, working on crossword puzzles, and feeding the birds. Music was another pleasure, especially the songs of John Denver and Glen Campbell.
Samuel will be remembered for his sharp mind, understated humor, and distinctive personality. He found enjoyment in life's simple routines and carried himself in his own quiet way. His presence will be deeply missed by the family who loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Davidson; his daughters, Diane Reyes-Dagher (Azar) and Stacey Miller (Jon); his grandson, Chad Miller; his granddaughter, Sydney Byrd (Marcus); and his great-grandchildren, Nova Byrd and Micah Byrd.
Samuel's memory will live on through the family he cherished and the many moments, stories, and memories that will continue to bring him to mind. He will be remembered with love and dearly missed by those who knew him.
Friends may gather at the Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel for a celebration of Samuel's Life on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 11AM.
