Mom - a poem from your loving daughter Sharon
Friends and relatives often said she put a smile on their face
Wearing sparkle, glitter, and gold in just the right place.
She loved her jewelry and her bling
Anything gold would make her heart sing
She had to have her lipstick on, or else she would frown
We'd laugh when I put too much on, and she'd say, "Don't make me look like a clown!"
Her nicknames included 'Lovely' and the 'Queen'
Always meticulous about her hair and nails when she was seen.
'Excellente!' and 'Genug!' she used to say
And she loved to play the lottery every single day.
She loved Spanish and French and was great at math
And becoming a bank teller was one of her paths.
She loved dime Bingo and won a lot
One time she filled in the whole card, and raked in the whole pot.
And boy did she love her M & M's
She revered them as if they were precious little gems.
She loved rainbows, roses, mahjong, and TV
And going out on a shopping spree.
She was quick to compliment all who walked by
Even folks she didn't know, she'd always say hi.
She found joy in the simplest of things
The Bistro and the gift shop....oh the pleasure that brings.
She would do anything for Fred and myself
Putting her wants and needs somewhere on a shelf.
She enjoyed making my breakfast....Chipped beef on toast
She always knew what I loved the most.
She's shown great strength during these last few years
I've seen her overcome so many fears.
She always told me how proud she was of me
She was the best cheerleader and mom that anyone could be.
Always full of kindness and a heart full of love
And now she is my angel looking down from above.
I'll always remember her singing to me
"I love you, and you love me."
Aho, Mitakuye oyasin.... All my relations, We are all connected
