Sylvia D. Spring, 88, went home to the Lord on June 6, 2026. She was the devoted wife of the late David Spring. Sylvia is survived by her daughters, Susan Smits and her husband Mark, and Jessica Spring; her grandchildren, Lauren, David, and Derek; her sister, Rose Marie; her niece, Rebecca; her nephew, Victor; and many other relatives.
Sylvia’s faith shaped her life. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish (Cockeysville) since 1965, where for the past 40 years, she participated first in handbell choir and then in adult choir. Sylvia also gave generously of her time to the Girl Scouts, serving as troop leader, field cookie manager, and community cookie manager. She also volunteered at Bell Manor at Conowingo.
The family will receive friends at St. Joseph Parish, 100 Church Lane, Cockeysville, MD 21030, on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 10-11 AM, with the Memorial Mass beginning at 11AM.
Interment will take place at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
