A dedicated caregiver by nature, Theresa spent many years serving her community as a Registered Nurse. Her career began in the OBGYN department at Franklin Square Hospital, where she welcomed new life into the world. She later shared her expertise with the Red Cross as a phlebotomist and educator and concluded her extensive career providing comfort to others as a geriatric charge nurse at Mays Chapel Brightview. She truly found joy in her vocation and took immense pride in being a nurse.
Beyond her professional life, Theresa found peace in the simple beauties of the world. She could often be found sitting in a courtyard in the sunshine, waiting for neighbors to walk by that she could share a laugh with or wish a simple hello all while enjoying the company of her beloved Shih Tzu, Tygre Lily.
She was a woman of deep faith and eclectic tastes, often listening to the soulful songs of Johnny Cash, the upbeat rhythms of the 1950s, or her favorite faith-based music. She held a special fondness for the delicate beauty of butterflies and the comforting presence of religious angels. Known for her friendly spirit, she was someone who would strike up a conversation with anyone, making a friend out of every stranger.
