

Virginia “Pie” Robinson, daughter of Osburn Matthews and Marie Sterrett was born on June 15, 1931 in White Hall, Baltimore County, Maryland. She departed this life on Monday, March 10, 2014 after a long illness.
She attended Sheppard School. At one time she worked at The Starting Gate Inn in Jacksonville as a short order cook. Virginia was known for her great cooking especially her potato salad, fried chicken and homemade cakes. And boy, could she do wonders with homemade rolls and fried bread!
Virginia spent most of her time raising a large family. Her favorite hobbies were puzzles, reading and watching the soap operas.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving daughters, Linda, Margaret, Helen and Betsy and one son, Charles “Ernie”; sister Thelma and brother Russell; Virginia is also lovingly survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of additional family and friends.
The family will receive friends in the LEMMON FUNERAL HOME OF DULANEY VALLEY INC., 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, MD 21093 on Thursday, March 13 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9pm. A funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Friday, March 14 at 11am. Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
