I work at the Juvenile  Court.  We were shocked and saddened  to hear of David's  passing!  I'm so sorry for your loss!   He will be missed and thought of often.  Rest in the promises of Jesus!

My condolences to David's family and friends. I knew him only in a professional manner. He was a kind and pleasant man who was always willing to help those involved with him. The Toledo Bar has lost a fine attorney. The community a fine gentleman.

Dave WILL be greatly missed by ALL who knew him. I will truly miss My cousin, My friend, the chats, the text messages, his smile, his laughter,  his kindness, his gentleness, his words of encouragement during rough times for him as well as for me, he was that kinda guy, his soul... well, what more can I say but that the spirit of the man, Dave, will live in our hearts forever! For THAT I am grateful, grateful, grateful! I thank God the Father for the time He blessed me with the physical presence of Dave and will cherish it. Much love, peace and joy to my family and friends who loved him.

I had the honor of mentoring David for a year after passing the bar. wonderful person. he genuinely cared about people. such a sad loss.

David was a compassionate and focused man.  He was a fierce advocate for his clients.  I had the greatest admiration for him will miss his love of the law, his infectious smile and his friendship  My deepest sympathies to his family.

I recently had the opportunity to have David as Opposing Counsel on a case. He was professional and knew what he was doing. The greatest bonus is that he was easy to work with and funny. He left a lasting impression and will be missed. My condolences to his family; the depth of your loss is immeasurable.

I had the pleasure and honor of playing football and attending school with David ("Bake") at both St. Francis and the University of Chicago. David always brought a smile to my face. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I haven't seen David since high school, and even then I never knew him well, but I definitely remember his ever-present smile and kind nature. After reading his obit I sincerely wish I had gotten to know him better; I am proud to have known such a man who dedicated his life to helping the underprivileged. My sincere condolences go out to his family, friends, and the entire Toledo community. He will be sorely missed.

David was a gentle giant with an infectious smile. I met David while he was a teacher at Lake Erie Academy. He was hard on his students that was just in preparation of their future. Those many lives he has touch they will remember Mr. Baker. May you find peace and comfort in the days to come.
