Carolyn Ann Himes

Carolyn Ann Himes, 68, of Vanceburg, Kentucky died Friday, November 18, 2016 at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. She was the widow of Roy Himes. Mrs. Himes was a member of the Olivet United Methodist Church. She was born in Lewis County, Kentucky on February 22, 1948 the daughter of the late Arnold and Mattie Himes Frye. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Patricia Frye of Hebron, KY; one niece, Yvonne Ventre of Hebron, KY; one nephew, Brian Frye of Carrollton, KY; seven great nieces and nephews; cousins, Sharon Hamilton of Tollesboro, KY, Bernice Jones, Steven Himes and Diane Hiles all of Aberdeen, OH and Keith Himes of Parrish, FL. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ivan Frye. Funeral services for Carolyn Himes will be held at the Barbour and Son Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2016 with Pastor Kent Moore and Pastor Sam Jones officiating. Burial will be in the East Fork Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Derrick Kirk, Jacob Werline, Merle Jones, John Grigson, Tommy Barbour, Brian Frye, David Clark, Kent Moore and Sam Jones. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY 41056.
