

Mr. Barbour was a 39 year employee of DP & L and a member of the Central Baptist Church and choir. He was a 1972 graduate of Mason County High School where he excelled in basketball and baseball. He was inducted into the 10th Region Hall of Fame in 2003.
Married 39 years, Mr. Barbour is survived by his wife Brenda Throckmorton Barbour and three daughters, Angela (Jim) Stice, Natalie (Eric) Keller, and Heather (Chad) Mefford. In addition, he was Grandad to Ryann, Tyler, Owen, Ethan, Brady, and Keegan. Two siblings also survive, Karen Gantley and Jerry (Billie) Barbour, sister-in-law Marsha Throckmorton (Jerry Rains) and mother-in-law Vivian (Bob) Landreth. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law Bill Throckmorton and a niece Julie Gantley Nordengren.
Services for Mr. Barbour will be Thursday, January 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Central Baptist Church with Brother Mark Powell officiating the services. Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery. Pallbearers include nephews Chris Gantley, Johnny Barbour, Dr. Adam Zeigler, and Chad Case. In addition, Dale Ravencraft, Keith White, Harvey Weddington and Dean Sellers. Honorary pallbearers include Jerry Rains, Joe Jones, Johnny Jackson, Harry Lewis, Bill Asbury, Frank Lofton, Mike Merrill, Jack Campbell, Don Dearing, Bill Ishmael, Paul Puccini, Doug Hines, Jay Planck, Tommy Jett, Rick Ballinger and Ronnie Lyons.
Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday evening from 5:00 to8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 437 Central Avenue, Maysville. KY 41056. The arrangements are entrusted to the Barbour and Son Funeral Home.
