Donna Irene Geagley

Donna Irene Corns Geagley, 99, of Tollesboro, Kentucky died Thursday, July 28, 2016 at her home. She was the widow of Everett Byron Geagley who died October 8, 1992. Mrs. Geagley was a member of the Tollesboro Christian Church and she was a retired school teacher with the Lewis County Board of Education. She began her career teaching in a two room school house and at her retirement she was a second grade teacher for Tollesboro Elementary School. She was born in Lewis County, Kentucky on August 27, 1916 the daughter of the late Joe and Myrnie Gillespie Corns. Survivors include her two sons, Jeffrey Byron Geagley and Gordon Jay Geagley (Judy) both of Tollesboro, KY; three grandchildren, Michael Jay Geagley (Marlene), Jody Lynn Paver (Bruce) and Robin Marie Hutchison (Lane) and three great grandchildren, Michael Everett Geagley, Coy Dylan Paver and Xavier Joseph Paver. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur William Corns and Scott Scoville Corns. Funeral services for Donna Geagley will be held at the Barbour and Son Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 31, 2016 with Rev. Layne Wagner officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Garden of Memories. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM.
