Dorena Bigelow Hord

Sue Bigelow Hord, 72, of Maysville, Kentucky died Thursday, December 24, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Hord was the widow of Paul Hord who died September 1, 2000. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky on April 14, 1943 the daughter of the late Robert and Eunice McKinney Bigelow. Sue was a collector of water cans, she loved gardening, flowers but most of all she loved the time she spent with her grandchildren. She is survived by her two daughters, Paula Lewis (Kevin) of Maysville, KY and Teresa Lykins (josh) of Tollesboro, KY; her four grandchildren, Tanner Hord, McKenley Lykins, Macy Lewis and Jaden Lewis; one brother, Victor Bigelow of Mansfield, OH; her first cousin, Laurabell Setters of Vanceburg, KY and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Dallas, Dennis, Hubert and Roger Bigelow and five sisters, Norma Armstrong, June Good, Wanda Milhollan, Myrna Curtis and Marva Montgomery. Funeral services for Sue Hord will be held at the Barbour and Son Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Monday, December 28, 2015 with Rev. Phil Cropper officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tanner Hord, Josh Lykins, Kevin Lewis, Bob Lykins, Michael Hord and Kenny Breeze. Honorary pallbearers will be McKinley Lykins, Macy Lewis, Jaden Lewis, Johnny Breeze and Steven Breeze. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 5 to 8 PM.
