
TOLLESBORO - James “Jimmie” Rogers Fetters, 76, of Ribolt died Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the UK Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, KY. Mr. Fetters was born in Concord, Kentucky on September 20, 1935 the son of the late Otto and Rebecca Walker Fetters. He was engaged in farming and retired from Reinhardt Trucking, Portsmouth Ohio and attended the Hickory Grove Church. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Bryant Fetters; three daughters, Kathy Applegate (Sammy) and Tara Fetters both of Tollesboro and Angie Gilbert of Maysville; three grandchildren, Amber Kielman, Nicholas Gilbert and Derek Gilbert; four great grandchildren, Mikayla Kielman, Abby Kielman, Sophia Gilbert and Aiden Gilbert; one step-granddaughter Penny Stanfield and her sons, Taylor and Logan Stanfield and one brother, Shelby Fetters of Vanceburg. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Gretta Jane Fetters and his sister, Odella Sartin. Funeral services for James Fetters will be held at the Hickory Grove Church at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 22, 2012 with Bro. Charles Emmons officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Ribolt. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Gilbert, Derek Gilbert, Sammy Applegate, Michael Kielman, Riley Robersion, James Thurman, Gary Mason and Gary Kegley. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Hickerson. Visitation will be held at the Hickory Grove Church on Saturday from 11 AM until the hour of the service.
