Jessie Elwood Pollitt

Jessie Elwood Pollitt, 87 of Vanceburg passed away, Monday, September 14, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield, Ohio. Born August 23, 1928 in Lewis County to the late Edward Franklin Pollitt and Rachael Mary Welch Pollitt and the widower of Ruby Francis Hollar Pollitt. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Mr. Pollitt is survived by his son Anthony Wayne (Vicki) Pollitt, Daughter, Dreama Ann Pollitt; brother Barbee Obannon Pollitt; sister Gladys Mildred Pollitt; 17 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.

Services for Mr. Pollitt will be Friday, September 18, 2015, 1PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Kevin Dales Branch President Officiating. Burial will follow in Esham Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Darren Stanfield, Kelly Stanfield, Anthony Scott Pollitt, Andrew Jason Sullivan, Donnie Littleton and Richard Hollar II. Honorary Pallbearers will be Thaddeus White, James Lee Pollitt, Sam Gilbert, Joshua Booker and the Grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, September 17, 2015, 5-8PM at Barbour and Son Funeral Home.
