John Douglas Truesdell

John Douglas Truesdell, 72 of Vanceburg passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at his residence. Born April 15, 1942 to the late John Carl and Minta Alice Bayless Truesdell. He is survived by his wife Martha Lou Hamm Truesdell; sons, John Edward Truesdell of Mason County, Anthony Wayne Truesdell of Fleming County, Michael Andrew Truesdell of Lewis County; daughter Lisa Luann Truesdell of Lewis County; Brothers Gayle Truesdell of Orangeburg, Tom Truesdell of Chalk Ridge, Ky, Kenneth Truesdell of Trinty, KY, sisters Linda Conley of Poplar Plains and Sandy Bramel of West Union, OH, Judy Highfield of Flemingsburg; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents his was preceded in death by daughters Teresa Susanne and Melissa Lynn Truesdell, brothers Delbert and Larry Truesdell, sisters Effie Dixon, Edna Littleton and Gladys Marie Truesdell.

Funeral Services for Mr. Truesdell will be Monday, July 7, 2014, 1PM at the Wesley Chapel with Bro. Eugene Benton officiating. Burial will follow in the East Fork Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Truesdell, Stevie Truesdell, Robert Clark, Adam Clark, Nathan Clark, Richard Clark and Charity Clark. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gayle Truesdell, Kenny Truesdell, Tommy Truesdell, Bessie Beckett, Chasity Clark, Bobby Hamm, June Bug Highfield, Tommy Hughes and John Barton. Visitation will be Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 5 to 8PM at Barbour and Son Funeral Home.
