

Leona Mae Craycraft Tucker Lanthorn, 90, died March 13, 2014 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe. Mrs. Lanthorn was born in Lewis County on February 16, 1924 to the late Scott and Ann Lee Ferguson Craycraft. She was the widow of Harold Tucker who died in 1961. Mrs. Lanthorn was a seamstress, cooked at school, worked at the shoe factory, did crafts, made quilts, worked at blood drives, loved raising a garden, and cleaned the Tollesboro Christian Church from 1958 until 2013. She was a Member of the Tollesboro Christian Church and the Lewis County Homemakers Club. Mrs. Lanthorn is survived by her two children, son Larry (Brenda) Tucker of Tollesboro and daughter Carolyn (Dave) Hughes of Maysville, four grandchildren, Scott (Missy) Tucker, Ann Marie (Shaun) Scott, Michael (Andrea) Tucker, Matthew (Mary) Hughes, three great grandchildren, Brooke Tucker, Bethany Tucker, and Makenna Scott. Mrs. Lanthorn is also survived by her sisters Clark Stanfield of Maysville and Bernice Cropper of Florence. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brothers Glenn Craycraft , Thomas Ray Craycraft and a sister Oleta Thomas. Services for Leona Lanthorn will be Monday, March 17 at the Tollesboro Christian Church at 11 A.M. with Brother John Moore, Brother Kelly Bierley, and Brother Chuck Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church Sunday, March 16 from 5 until 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Tollesboro Christian Church, 3684 W KY 10, Tollesboro, KY 41189.
