Matilda Harrison

Matilda S. “Tee” Harrison, 88, of Tollesboro died Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. She was the widow of Harold Eugene Harrison. Mrs. Harrison was a member of Crosspointe Church and retired from US Shoe. She was born in Ribolt, KY on June 20, 1925 the daughter of the late Edward and Stella Thomas Bryant. She is survived by three sons, Dr. Harold Harrison (Mary), Randy Harrison (Jacqui) and Jeff Harrison (Lorretta) all of Tollesboro, KY; two daughters, Anne Harrison Dugan (Paul) of Tollesboro, KY and Nancy Applegate (Ed) of Louisville, KY; eight grandchildren, Kelly Harrison (Tawnya), Chris Harrison, Nichole Routt (Ron), Natalie Harrison, Miranda Jackson (DJ), Clay Applegate (Jen), Marc Harrison (Tomi Jo) and Zach Harrison (Tessa); twelve great grandchildren; one brother, Dewey Bryant (Leanne) of Vanceburg, KY; three sisters, Louanna “Tootsie” White and Maxiine Bryant both of Tollesboro, KY and Betty Rayburn of Maysville, KY and one brother-in-law, William “June” Frazier of Maysville, KY. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harold “Skip” Bryant, two sisters, Avil Frazier and Helena Bryant and one daughter-in-law, Henrietta Harrison. Funeral services for Matilda Harrison will be held at the Barbour and Son Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 2, 2013 with Rev. Stephanie Pack officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Ribolt, KY. Her grandsons, Rex White and Lathe Brady will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
