Ruby Kathleen Adams

Ruby Kathleen Adams, 78, of Tollesboro, Kentucky died Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Mrs. Adams formerly worked at Wald Manufacturing, Frisch’s Restaurant and Brown’s Restaurant where she was the manager. Mrs. Adams also once owned and operated her own restaurant in Tollesboro and also had babysat for many children. Ruby was born in Brown County, Ohio on March 8, 1938 the daughter of the late William A. and Loretta Davis Jenkins. She is survived by her husband, Ted Adams; one son, Stan Adams (Diana) of Tollesboro, KY; two daughters, Teresa Howell (Chris) of Morehead, KY and Trudy Doyle (Rodney) of Flemingsburg, KY; three grandchildren, Chelsea Howell Havens (David), Stanley Bess and Wade Adams; two step grandchildren, Heather Doyle and Haley Doyle; one sister, Roselyn Polley of Tollesboro, KY and a host of other family. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Jenkins and four brothers, Marion Jenkins, Denver Jenkins, Donald Jenkins and Billy Jenkins. Funeral services for Ruby Adams will be held at the Barbour and Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 1:00 PM with Dr. Michael Rice officiating. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bob Jenkins, Rick Jenkins, George Lightner, Greg Polley, D.J.Jenkins, Chris Jenkins, Colton Truesdell. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Jenkins, Dean Jenkins, Joey Jenkins. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM.
