

Virginia Ann Cooper, 69 of Vanceburg passed away, March 19, 2014 in Lexington. She was born August 15, 1944 in Richmond, IN to the late Lewis Snider and Pauline (John) Cassidy. Mrs. Cooper loved to cook, mow her yard, and raise flowers. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Kendall Cooper. Also surviving are two sons Michael Allen Cooper of Vanceburg, and Shannon (Gina) Cooper of Maysville, one daughter Jana Marie (Terry) Newsom of Wallingford, two granddaughters Jana Sue (Colin) Hunt and Savanna Newsom, two great-granddaughters, Ashley Hunt and Alayna Hunt. Mrs. Cooper is also survived by one brother Tracy (Sheila) Cassidy of Vanceburg, one sister Shawna (Chris) Quan of Richmond, KY and five special grandchildren, Joey Scott, Chris Scott, Brittany Stamper, William Hutchins, and Hunter Hutchins, and one nephew Derick Stone. She was preceded in death by a son David Lewis Cooper and daughter Eva Dawn Cooper. Services for Virginia Ann Cooper will be Monday, March 24 at 11 A.M. at the Barbour and Son Funeral Home with John Byard officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home from 5 until 8 p.m.
