Adria Carisé Howard

Adria was a long time resident of Tolleson, AZ and attended and graduated from Tolleson Union High School. After graduation, she later trained as a Phlebotomist. She worked faithfully in that career field until she became ill and disabled. Adria was an active member in the community and served on many cancer support groups.

In her early years, Adria met Anthony Mumphrey and two children were born. Kalen Mumphrey 17 and Kiara Mumphrey 14. Adria was a very loving Mother, Sister, Aunt, and Cousin. As a child, Adria was very bright and often used her brilliance to get money out of her family members. Being a straight “A" student, she wagered her grades betting that if she receives an "A" in anyone of her courses, they would have to pay her for everyone that she received. Well, she always won that bet.

Family, friends, and entertaining was Adria's passion and delight. She developed a unique talent for scrapbooking. Often she created scrapbooks of “precious moments” and gave them to her loved ones as gifts. She also loved to host parties, cook and entertain; a passion that she and her father both shared in common.

Adria was preceded in death by father Tommy L. Howard, grandmother Dorothy M. Williams, and grandfather Myzell Smith; grandmother Odessa Howard, and grandfather Thomas J. Howard.

Adria is survived by her mother, Willie Breed, and Stepfather, Gary Breed both of Tolleson, AZ. Two children: Kalen and Kiara Mumphrey of Tolleson, AZ. Seven sisters: Kimberly Wallace of Glendale, AZ; Karla Thompson of Avondale, AZ; Paula Lamb of Glendale, AZ; Valencia Parks of Phoenix, AZ; Nerita Alexander of Avondale, AZ; Leslie Howard of Tolleson, AZ; and Phyllis Greene pf Phoenix, AZ; One Aunt, Georgia Long of Avondale, AZ; and two brothers-in-law: Samuel Alexander and David Rice both of Avondale, AZ. Two Uncles: Allen D. Smith of Washington DC; and Oatha Lee Howard of Missouri. She also leaves behind a host of loving relatives and friends.
