Brady Millins

Brady Millins was a radiant, gregarious soul, whose light shined brightly and graced this world on August 18, 1942, to the late Nancy Boyd and George Millins. Brady never met a stranger and was truly “one of a kind” and irreplaceable. To know Brady, was to love Brady. He was jovial, yet direct; sensible and resilient. He was always full of wisdom, unwavering faith in God, and witty remarks, such as, “take your time, but don’t waste mine.” Brady lived a large portion of his early life in East St. Louis, IL and was literally a “jack of all trades!” Over the years he opened several successful businesses, as a “serial entrepreneur” owning a fresh-fruit grocery/convenience store to a bar and grill.

Brady moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1995, and began enjoying the simpler things in life and focused on what really mattered, which was cultivating his relationship with the Lord. Although Brady confessed his love for Christ at an early age, one of his greatest joys was learning and growing in Christ while attending Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. As an active member for over 25 years, Brady served in many capacities, such as Greeter, Men’s Choir member and he even did the church Welcome on occasions. While serving the Lord at church, Brady met and married his wife, Velma Harris Millins.

Brady enjoyed traveling, especially back to East St. Louis to visit his siblings, along with his many nieces, and nephews who were more like his children. On the evening of September 4, 2023, the Lord called Brady home at the tender age of 81, to eternal rest. Brady’s nine siblings preceded him in death, four brothers: Jimme Baker, Roosevelt Edwards, Theodore Baker, George Baker; and five sisters: May Dantzler, Louise Isbell, Rosalee Gaines, Velma Dixon, Ernestine Tiller.

Brady leaves to cherish his memories his son Reginald (Tiffiney) Graham of Surprise, AZ; his daughters Rosalyne Graham of Goodyear, AZ; Sherrie (Eric) Woolen-Haley of Huntsville, AL; Rhonda Daniels of Cincinnati, OH; and Kimberly (Kevin) Millins Long of North Little Rock, AR as well as many cherished grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
