Ellen Louise Killingsworth left this world on June 18, 2026, but the love she shared throughout her life remains with all who knew her.
Elena was born on March 1, 1972, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Carl and Marcia Kohls. She was a devoted mother, wife, and friend to many. Elena found immense joy in making those around her feel heard, seen, and loved. Whether through handwritten notes, thoughtful gifts inspired by things people mentioned in passing, or her genuine desire to learn about others' perspectives and experiences, she made everyone feel valued. For many who knew her, she was "home."
While she may no longer be here physically, those who knew her will remember her laughter, quick wit, and warmth. When you see something that reminds you of her, know that she is right alongside you in spirit.
Elena is survived by her husband of 21 years, Rick Killingsworth; her children, Caleb Edes, Caitlin Killingsworth, Amber Nicholson, and Ricky Killingsworth II; her beloved granddaughter, Payton Edes; and the friends whose lives she touched.
