Fernando Romero Lopez Born October 25, 1967-Entered into Heaven on July 27, 2020. Fernando leaves behind, the love of his life of 33 years, high school sweetheart, Racheal Garcia Lopez. His children whom he adored, Fernando Garcia Lopez Jr (Judy Venegas Lopez), Ruby Lopez Alvidrez (Angel Alvidrez), Mario Antonio Garcia Lopez, Ernesto Dmitri Lopez and Israel Joseph Lopez, his grandchildren whom he loved so much, Modesto R. Garcia Evelyn E. Alvidrez, Emilia K. Alvidrez, Angel Alvidrez Jr., Elijah V. Lopez, Isaiah V. Lopez and Ernesto D. Lopez Jr. Parents, Jose and Graciela Lopez of El Paso, Texas, 2 Brothers and 2 Sisters, and many extended family members. Fernando had a love for music and was a well-known DJ (DJ Dark Knight Sounds) for the Phoenix area for well over 31 years. He spent most of his time doing what he loved best, spinning the tunes. Fernando also loved fishing, reminiscing with family and friends, and loved spending his days and nights with his children and grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. He had a love for Boxing and spent a lot of his time, with his children and nephews assisting in training. Fernando was also a collector of Batman memorabilia and was a great artist. Fernando had a great sense of humor and his extensive vocabulary was more than highly proficient at knowing more curse words than most people learned in a lifetime. He was also a graduate of Carl Hayden, Class of 1985. There are no words to describe the emptiness his family feels, for he was a great provider, loving Father and Grandfather. He spoiled his grandchildren and loved them all unconditionally. He leaves many great memories and his presence will be forever missed. His legacy will continue to live on through his family, as he taught us all strength, unity, and respect. He will always be remembered as “The Man, The Myth, The DJ, Our Dad” and as the love of his life would say “My Man”! …he was proud of his family, and we are forever blessed for having him as Dad, Daddy, Tata”

I had many great memories with this young man. Fernando was one of a kind, he said and did what he wanted. I really enjoyed playing music with him, when we did a family get together. I would play some cumbias and he would play his old school. Fernando will be missed. Loved your company and your life with us. Rest in Heaven my brother.

Ferd, we spent 33 years of the good, the bad, the ugly but through it all you loved me and I loved you, I am left in this world with a broken heart, but It gives me comfort knowing I was your "Forever and Always", as you would put it and you were "My Man"...I wish I could show the world who you really were, the great Daddy to our kids, the best Tata to our grandkids, and Chano and how much you loved me. You put us first in all that you did. I will cherish our memories, your curse words and silliness is what I will really miss the most, aside from your presence, each day without you seems unbearable. It seems so unfair, but I know God had other plans & I did my part to ensure you made it home. Watch over us, protect us...I will see you soon, if not in my dreams. I love you..I love you..I love you!

Dear Fernando,

I didn,t know you for that long but I remember you sitting behind me at the facility on 48th St. Your voice and the way you spoke to our patients we shared at Optum, it will forever ring in my ears from time to time. Music lover, hah! Tell the father in heaven that I hope you and him get together and spin the tones so when I reach there that is some good music I can sing to and dance to.
Sincerely,
Toni
