Frances Arzate Hernandez went home to our Lord on August 21, 2020. After a tough battle against COVID-19 and Lupus, we find comfort and rejoice in her infinite healing, which we endlessly prayed for. She will be missed tremendously yet we know that Frances is no longer in pain and can now freely dance in the streets of heaven as she would love to do here on Earth. Frances also known as “Kika”, a wife, mother, grandma and more, was born in Sweet Water, Texas on December 3, 1943. She was raised in Santa Anna, California where she graduated high school in 1961. After graduating she was called to serve in the Army. She worked her way up to rank as Sergeant and was honorably discharged at the end of her contract. In November of 1982, through her lifelong friend, Sooki, she was introduced to Valentino Hernandez. Kika and Val fell in love and officially united in marriage on May 5, 1992. Throughout her years, her employment included office and clerical work for the county and other agencies. Frances’ legacy of hard work, integrity, and the service of love, will carry on through her 4 children, 16 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. She will be remembered for her coffee talks and story times around the kitchen table, her countless moments of shared wisdom and advice. Most importantly, she will be remembered for her unconditional love, care, and support that she shared with those she cared for deeply. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and be present with the Lord. -2 Corinthians 5:8
