Hector Raul Montoya

Hector Raul Montoya was a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. On July 1, 2026, he was called to be with the lord. He was born on November 17, 1959. A resident of Tolleson, Arizona, Raul will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who knew him. He loved to travel, go on long walks, and be outdoors, embracing the world with a sense of curiosity and an open heart. He will forever be known for his charismatic personality, his love for the outdoors exploring and the good times and memories that will last a lifetime to those who had the pleasure to be around him. Raul lived his life free spirited with no regrets and enjoyed every bit of it, that is how we will remember him always. He also valued fellowship and  enjoyed going to church and to the Tolleson Senior Center, where connection and community mattered.

He was very social and outgoing, making friends right away and leaving a lasting impression through simple kindness, conversation, and genuine presence. In these everyday moments.

Raul is survived by his son, Raul Montoya Jr., and his daughter, Mayra Montoya; 4 grandchildren;  2 great-grandchildren, with a third great-grandchild soon to be.

The family is thankful for everyone who helped and reached out during this difficult time with condolences and support.

Raul will be greatly missed. 

A visitation and funeral service will be held at Advantage Crystal Rose Funeral Home, 9155 West Van Buren St, Tolleson, AZ 85353, on July 17, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm with funeral service at 2:40pm.
