Obituary of Humberto M Breceda
Humberto “Bert” Breceda, 81, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023. He was born on March 8, 1942, in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. He was a beloved father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather and a friend to many. He leaves behind his wife of 53 years Maria Delia, his daughters Paty, Vero, Karina, Karla, and Maria A. (Toñita), 13 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Humberto was a dedicated employee for over 50 years to several multinational microchip processing companies. After retiring in 1998, he spent his time rebuilding clocks and computers, and collecting coins and rocks. His greatest accomplishment, he always said, was raising five strong-willed daughters who he encouraged to follow every dream no matter how big or small. His support never wavered, and his love was unconditional. Humberto's deep passion for traveling and music were central throughout his life. He shared these passions with his daughters, taking them on yearly trips to San Francisco and Mexico, traveling the world with his oldest daughter and wife, and enjoying endless picnics and grilling at South Mountain Park with his music blasting for all to hear. His doors were forever open to all who wished to join his Friday night carne asadas. Humberto’s last years were filled with laughter. He loved playing his music on his karaoke machine and sharing his lifelong stories with those around him. He was pampered by his daughters with endless trips to his favorite restaurants and enjoyed them even more knowing he wasn’t going to foot the bill. His sarcasm was one to love and never to forget. Humberto will be greatly missed. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and countless memories that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Rest in peace, Papi Humberto
