James Michael “Mike” Potter, age 63, was called home on June 19th, 2025. Born on January 3, 1962, he was the beloved husband to Jean; Loving father to Joseph (Kelly), Jesseca, Sarah (John Rey) and Catherine (Brannon); Adored Pop-Pop to Hayley Rose, Willa and Ava Jean; Surviving brother to Wayne (Bernice). Mike was greeted in heaven by his parents Neal Sr. and Louise, along with his siblings Phyllis, Donald, and Neal Jr.
Mike’s journey began in Cleveland, Ohio, where he built a life grounded in love, hard work, and loyalty. In 2017, he and his family made the move to Arizona, starting a new chapter, unknowingly stepping into a life filled with growth, opportunity and lots of love. A long-time truck driver, Mike, had a deep love for the open road. Trucking was not a job; it was simply who he was.
He had a lifelong passion for NASCAR and never missed a chance to catch a new episode of Live Nation, his favorite show. But more than anything, Mike was unconditionally loving to his family. No matter the time or the reason, he was always just one phone call away. His presence will forever be missed but his love will forever live on.
