Jimmy Lee Davis passed away on June 9th, 2025, in Glendale, AZ. He was born on September 7, 1946, in Tucson, AZ but grew up in Arkansas where he found a love for the outdoors. He loved camping, fishing, imbibing of cinnamon flavored spirits and the telling of tall tales. His jokester ways always kept you on your toes. While at home, you would find him sitting on the couch, with his faithful dog, Rex, watching his favorite old TV shows like Bonanza, Matlock, Rifleman and Kung Fu, just to name a few.
All jokes aside, Jimmy had a good heart. In a time of need, he would help and go the extra mile. He was the kind of father that worried about you when you weren’t around and wanted the best for you. He was a good caregiver to his wife and a father to her children when they didn’t have one around. He was the kind of grandfather that would take you swimming, fishing, biking, watching movies/tv shows and listening to the song Ghostbusters while driving down the road. He offered advice, a ride or a tall tale to get you through the day. At the end of the day though, he really was a no-frills man who loved his family.
Jimmy was predeceased in life by his wife of 36 years, Patricia Evelyn Davis. He is survived by his daughter, Diana Sue Davis, sister-in-law-Cathy Sue Reid, stepsons-Raymond Dixon, Robert Crouse, David Crouse (Tanja), stepdaughters-Cheryl DeBruyne (Mike), Debbie Crouse and Brenda Neeley (Dan). He is also survived by numerous nieces/nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
His funeral will be held on June 13, 2025, at Advantage Crystal Rose Funeral Home in Tolleson, AZ with visitation at 3 pm and services at 4:30 pm. He will be laid to rest at Resthaven Park Cemetery with his beloved wife, Patricia Evelyn Davis.
