Marco “Tony” Antonio Miramontes, 64, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Arizona. Born in Mexicali and raised in Brawley, he personified strong work-ethic and service to others. He credits his resilience and prosperity to the good people of the Imperial Valley. Tony balanced his time between raising his children and building a career in manufacturing.
Nothing was more important to him than his family. Tony met the love of his life, Carla, while attending college in San Diego. The two later married and had five exceptional children. With his family, he loved afternoons at the movies, lively family dinners, and cheering on his children at their sports events. Tony’s tenacious personality, witty charm,
and generosity are what he will be most remembered for. Tony is survived by his wife, Carla; daughters, Natasha and Anastasia; sons, Marco Jr., Mateo, and Matias; granddaughter, Nyemi; his brothers, Federico, Ausalon, and Arturo; and his nine nephews and nieces.
