Paulina Maria Walls

On Easter Sunday, April 21st, 2019, Paulina Maria Walls, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away surrounded by her family, and went to be with the Lord after a long struggle with sickness.

Paulina was born on April 23rd, 1942 in St. Thomas, Virgin Island to Joseph Leopold Gomez and Alice Maria Klein. Paulina married on February 1st, 1964, in New York to Lonnie Eugene Walls.

Paulina graduated from George Washington High School and worked for AT&T for 32 years as an overseas operator.

Paulina loved her family unconditionally and always put them first.

Always kind, expressed unconditional love and very witty.

You knew when she was mad because that’s when her accent was really thick.

She always said I’ll smack ya down and too funny when India and Marcous made a song out of it.

Paulina talked and taught, a lesson in everything on how to act and “doing it the right way”.

Also an excellent swimmer, always generous, outgoing and loved colorful things and shrimp at city island.

Lonnie was the chef, but Paulina perfected them oxtails.

Going to Macy’s at Christmas time was an amazing experience and she loved to shop. Ma always said “you’re not wanting for anything are you?!

Paulina and Lonnie would tell the story of how they first met with Lonnie as a chef at Wilson Bakery in Harlem and Paulina walking by with her first cousins. It’s up for debate on the details but they came together to form this great union and produce 4 children.

Paulina is survived by her husband Lonnie Eugene Walls of 55 years years, daughters Dawn and Kelly, son’s Shawn and Michael Walls and step-daughter Lonnie David, sister’s Betty Guerrero, Lillian Isaac, Delores Walls Brothers Dalton and Harry Phillips, 3 grandkids, many nieces, Nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 pm and service from 2 to 3 pm at Advantage Crystal Rose Funeral Home 9155 West Van Buren Street, Tolleson, AZ 85353
