With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ray S. Maldonado III, who departed this life on July 18, 2026, at the age of 41.
Born on August 24, 1984, Ray was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, where he built a life centered on family, friendship, and hard work. He was the beloved son of Raymond Maldonado II and Guadalupe Maldonado, and a devoted brother to Christina and Frank as well as a cherished brother-in-law to Holly. His family’s presence remained a treasured part of his life.
Ray lived life to the fullest. He had a passion for fitness and could often be found at the gym, always striving to be his best. He took great pride in his appearance, enjoying shopping and making sure he was always dressed to the T. His confidence, warm smile, and outgoing personality made him unforgettable.
Wherever Ray went, he made friends with ease. He had a rare gift for connecting with people, and to know him truly was to love him. He was honest, genuine, and loyal—someone who stood by those he loved and lived with integrity every day.
A dedicated and dependable person, Ray spent his career in the transportation and dispatch industry. His strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment earned the respect of colleagues and everyone fortunate enough to work alongside him. He made life-long friends everywhere he went!
Above all else, Ray’s greatest love was his family. He deeply loved his parents, his sister, brother, sister in law, his partner Michael, and his extended family. He held a special place in his heart for his godchildren: Valerie, Vincente, Vicente, Jr., and Gianna, whom he loved dearly and cherished beyond measure.
Although Ray’s time with us was far too short, the impact he made on the lives of those around him will last forever. His laughter, kindness, loyalty, and generous spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Ray will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near”
