Virginia Laborin, a beloved resident of Chandler, Arizona, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, at the age of 92. Born February 22, 1933, in Sonora, Arizona, Virginia was the daughter of Ignacio and Lucy Salazar. She was known to all who loved her for her lively spirit and the unwavering love she dedicated to her family throughout her long life. Virginia found joy in simple pleasures, particularly her cherished outings: enjoying a meal at her favorite restaurant, Village Inn, often followed by a movie. Above all, her absolute favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family, always creating cherished, lasting memories in the company of those she held most dear.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles Laborin, and siblings Lupe Gutierrez, Alice Camacho, Robert Salazar, Ignacio Salazar and Efren Salazar.
Virginia’s legacy lives on through her two devoted children, Jeannie Smith and Mark Laborin. She is also survived by her four loving grandchildren, Michael Laborin, Marty Smith II, Samantha Laborin and Emily Laborin. As well as her three great-grandchildren Gianna Laborin, Jamie Michael Laborin and Marty Smith III. Virginia will be deeply missed by her two sisters, Toni Guevara and Mary Galindo.
