Alice May Rice, of Manchester Township, NJ, passed away at Ocean University Medical Center in Brick, NJ on Saturday, May 28, 2022. She was born to the late Lauren and Lola Hays in Bisbee, AZ on June 24, 1938. She grew up in Cortez, CO before moving to San Diego, CA.
Her hobbies were fishing, crossword and jigsaw puzzles as well as doting on her sweet dogs and cats she has had over the years.
Predeceased by: Husband Raymond Rice, eldest daughter Sherry Schwartzkopf, grandson Kyle O’Dell, brothers Gene Hays, Melvin Hays and Jerry Hays.
Survived by: Her beloved dog CoCo, son Louie O’Dell, daughter Allison Jones, granddaughters Kristen (Lucas) Murphy and Allison Hyde, grandsons Sean (Yuri) O’Dell and Michael Schwartzkopf, sisters June (Doug) Whitehead and Patricia Palmieri in addition to extended family and friends.
Private cremation with a celebration of life to follow at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 W, Toms River, NJ.
