Alice E. Schauer

Alice E. Schauer, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 22, 2022. Born on September 30, 1928, in New Brunswick to J. Gustave Walldov and Sophie Hawliczek, she was a 1949 graduate of the Ann May School of Nursing at Fitkin Memorial Hospital, and a resident of Farmingdale for many years before moving to Tinton Falls in 2014.

Alice was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Edward (M.D.) and her brother, Gus G. Walldov. She is survived by her brother Richard (Pat) Walldov, daughters Alice-Jean (Paul) Farrington, Christine (Henry) Kelly, Andrea Schauer, her son Edward (Bonnie) Schauer, her 7 grandchildren Erik (Michelle) Farrington, Ed (Barbara) Farrington, Brian (Melanie) Schauer, Barbara (Aubrey) Coins, Jonathan (Kathryn) Ferry, Andrew Ferry, Jason Ferry, 11 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Alice’s love of family, reading, traveling this country by car, and having adventures was infectious. She was an amazing woman who will be missed by many.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 4-7 PM at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Rt. 37 West, Toms River, NJ.
