Born in New Brunswick, she was a Toms River area resident since 1971.
Prior to retiring in 2008, Andrea was a waitress at Friendly's in the Ocean County Mall for many years, and was also a barmaid at Olsen's Bar and Grill, Toms River.
She enjoyed visiting the Atlantic City Casinos.
She is survived by her son Andrew Pelyak of Forked River; three grandchildren, Jennifer Barrett of Toms River and James and Kasey Pelyak of Forked River; two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Ronald DeNardis of Toms River; two Brothers, Steven and Stewart Gergely; and a sister, Edwina Shapiro.
Cremation was private.
A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River from 7-9 pm.
