

Anthony Battipaglia, age 73, of the Holiday City South section of Berkeley Township died on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus (Paul Kimball Medical Center), Lakewood.
Born in Staten Island, Mr. Battipaglia lived there until moving to Brick in 1978.
He lived in Toms River from 1980 to 2006 when he moved to Holiday City South.
Mr. Battipaglia served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Prior to his retirement in 1996, he was employed by General Motors, Linden, as a fork lift operator.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia McKeon Battipaglia; three children, Debra Weltner and her husband Robert of Beachwood, Anthony Battipaglia and his wife Stephanie of Brick, and Robert Battipaglia and his companion Samantha Maina of Forked River; a brother John of Staten Island and a sister, Marie Hanrahan of Staten Island; three grandchildren, Ryan and Brianna Weltner and Bennett Battipaglia.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 1-4 pm at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 3:30pm at the funeral home.
Cremation will be private.
