

Anthony (Tony) Rapolla 69 of Toms River passed away at home on March 5th 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Tony was born in Long Branch, New Jersey and grew up in Eatontown NJ. He graduated from Monmouth Regional High School and received his BS degree in health and Physical Education K-12 from West Chester University in Pennsylvania. Tony was employed by Neptune Township Board of Education for 40 years at Shark River Hills Elementary and Gables Elementary School, and also Neptune Middle School. During those 40 years he touched and had a positive impact on the lives of his many students before retiring in 2008. Tony will be remembered most for his strong love of his family, his sensitivity, compassion, and zest for life. He loved the life he lived and enjoyed every day. He instilled strong morals and values in his children, and was so very proud of them. He was an avid Yankee fan, loved his Corvette, vacations, the beach, and spending time with his family, and 5 beautiful grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents Angelo and Faye Rapolla. Tony is survived by his wife of 33 years and soulmate Eleanor, his son Anthony Rapolla and his wife Beth of Bayville, NJ, daughter Tammy Rapolla-Palmeiri and husband Vinnie of Galloway Township, NJ, son Scott Rapolla of Toms River, brother Michael Rapolla of Bonita Springs, FL, and five beautiful grandchildren, Michael, Tori, Anthony, Alexa, and Olivia.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. A funeral mass will be held on Friday at 9:15 a.m. at St. Luke Church, 1674 Old Freehold Rd., Toms River. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River.
