Barbara Marino-96, Passed away on Tuesday, 4/18/2023 in Toms River, NJ. Born 8/8/1926 in Sweden, she emigrated to the US in 1947. She was predeceased by her first husband- Cecil Koovits, her 2nd husband- Gabriel Marino, and her son Arnold (whom she affectionately nicknamed Tyke). Barbara was a very private person. She enjoyed reading non-fiction, especially anything to do with history, or the British Royal Family. She loved to sew, and had a wonderful way with written words, writing countless letters to family and friends abroad. She is survived by her son, Bob Koovits, of Toms River, her three Grandchildren- Karl Koovits, of Toms River, Kirsten Johnston, of Jackson, and Marta Toucher, of Wall, NJ. She also has 4 Great Grandchildren- Delaney Koovits, Garren Koovits, Davin Koovits, and Georgia Johnston. She will be laid to rest in Clearwater Florida, right beside her Husband, Gabriel Marino. May she Rest in Peace.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 2 to 5 pm at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ.
