

Barbara Ann O'Hara (née Frost), known affectionately as Bobbie, passed away at the age of 86 on September 6, 2024, in Toms River, NJ. Born on August 3, 1938, in Newark, NJ, she was the cherished daughter of Herbert and Mary Frost, and the beloved wife of the late James O'Hara.
Bobbie dedicated many years of service to the Toms River Water Company before her retirement. Beyond her professional life, she was deeply involved in her community as a longtime volunteer and former board member of the Jersey Shore Animal Center.
She is survived by her nieces, Tracy Menza and Kelly Lee; her great nieces, Autumn Menza and Tavia Withers, and great-nephew Christian Menza; and her cousins, Kathleen and Taylor Synder, Laurel and Elizabeth Schrier, Robert Hagon, Bonnie Hughes, and William Reber and many dear friends. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Mary Frost; her husband, James O'Hara; and her sister, Gayle Lee.
In remembrance of Bobbie's life and her passion for animals, the family requests that donations be made to the Jersey Shore Animal Center in Brick, NJ, in lieu of flowers. Her legacy of kindness and dedication to her community will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by all who knew her.
