Growing up in Woodbridge and Edison, NJ, Beverly graduated from Edison High School in 1971 and then worked various jobs before marrying in 1982 and becoming a homemaker. She also did part-time deli work at the Edison Sub Shop and Woodbridge Deli. Through the nineties and early 2000s, she was a childcare provider, where every child became a family member.
Beverly loved classic rock music, her plants, watching “Big Brother” with her granddaughters, and cheering on her family in their many endeavors. She also enjoyed cooking and entertaining for friends and family. Beverly always had an open-door policy where she lent an empathetic ear and a non-judgmental space to anyone who needed it. It was a gift she gave to many.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents William and Charlotte Tampa (née Leonard); stepfather, William “Judge” Pastore; stepmother, Felicia Tampa-Latzko; sister, Diane Tampa; and her loyal dachshund, Bear.
Surviving her are her husband of forty-one years, Douglas Morone; daughters, Caryann Tampa and Christine Langone; son, Anthony Morone; granddaughters, Danielle Morio, Nicole Messina and her husband Joseph; great-granddaughter, Iris Richards; sisters, Arlene Langmaack, Susan McColley and her husband Richard, Lynanne Hunt and her husband Mark, and Kimberly Sitton; brothers, Robert Pastor and Steven Schreiber; and many nieces and nephews.
As per her wishes, the family will host a “Celebration of Life” memorial, tentatively planned for the weekend of October 7-8 at a site to be determined, where her favorite music will rock and her favorite recipes will roll. If you think you can attend, please contact the family.
In lieu of flowers, Bev would appreciate donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html or VNA Hospice Care
Arrangements were entrusted to Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 W, Toms River, NJ.
